Latest Updates from Our Project:

We're almost there!
about 9 years ago – Thu, Apr 23, 2015 at 08:18:40 AM

Hi Everyone!

I know it has been a while since we've had an update, as we've mostly been waiting for each of our awesome contributors to send in their chapters, go through the review and editing process, and laying out the book.  I'm sorry for any messages that went unanswered in the last 2 weeks, but I was away at the New York Toy Fair promoting some of my new games and enjoying playing some great new releases by friends and colleagues coming out this year!

Although a few of our essays came in a bit past deadline from authors, rest assured that the production of the book is basically on schedule, and it is still set to release in March, as predicted in the Kickstarter campaign!

Thanks for your support and patience!

Survey Update!
over 9 years ago – Wed, Oct 29, 2014 at 11:34:54 PM

Hi everyone!

It has been a few weeks since we successfully funded, and we finally got the ok from Kickstarter/Amazon Payments that everyone's payments went through.  Usually this process takes 14 days, but ours went a little longer.  So now that the funds are in place, we can work on fulfillment logistics!

We wanted to give you guys a quick update about the survey, which you will be using to designate any extra funds/add-ons and verify your shipping address.  Later today or tomorrow, you should be getting a link from BackerKit, which we have decided to use to manage fulfillment.  The cool thing about BackerKit is that it keeps track of everything, and if you move addresses between now and the ship date, you can quickly update that for us without any manual edits on our end (which can get rather messy with hundreds of backers).  Another great feature of BackerKit is that it allows people to add to their pledge for extra copies or perks, as well as gives the opportunity to people to order the book if they missed the Kickstarter completely and only just heard of this great project.

If you have any questions or issues when filling out your survey, please contact us, and we will help you out!

Thanks, and have a great day!

- Elisa :)

WE DID IT!
over 9 years ago – Sun, Oct 12, 2014 at 08:42:36 PM

Girls on Games is successfully funded, and the crowdfunding portion of the campaign is now over! But now we have the awesome next step of getting this book into your hands! Please expect a survey in the next few days, which will allow you to designate your pledges and add-on requests.

From all of us behind this project, we want to give our deep and sincere thank you to each and every one of you who helped make this book a reality. You guys are awesome and a testament to the wonderful tabletop community that we all are a part of!

Thank you!

A Quick Update with Exciting News!
over 9 years ago – Tue, Sep 30, 2014 at 11:47:26 PM

We know we just did an update last night, but we couldn't hold back this awesome news!

We are so excited to announce our $15,000 Stretch Goal: Comic Strips by John Kovalic!

When John Kovalic is unlocked, Girls on Games will be upgraded with comic strips featuring Dork Tower's Gilly, the misunderstood gothy geek! John is known for this hilarious comic strip, being the illustrator for over 40 games, including Munchkin, Chez Geek, Apples to Apples, and the new version Cash N' Guns, as well as being the game designer for a few as well, such as Whad'Ya Know? and ROFL!

We cannot wait to make this stretch goal a reality, so be sure to spread the word!
